It’s twilight for Twitter on iOS. In a good way! The iPhone version of the app finally has an optional dark color scheme for your late night tweetstorms. I welcome the darkness.

  • Enabling night mode in the app just changes the colors from the bright default white and black text to a dim grey scheme similar to Tweetdeck’s dark theme. A little change that makes it more enjoyable when you’re tweeting in a dark environment. The feature was added to the Android version earlier this summer. [Twitter]
  • In other news, Sony is increasing the price of PlayStation Plus. Starting September 22nd, memberships will cost $59.99 for one year, $24.99 for three months, or $9.99 for one month. [Polygon]

  • “Gawker.com is shutting down today, Monday 22nd August, 2016, some 13 years after it began and two days before the end of my forties. It is the end of an era.” Nick Denton explains how things work in the site’s last post. [Gawker]
