This groovy 8" speaker, already mounted in a large wooden box, will form the basis for a Liitle Gem amp (see Make current issue). Actually, I’m thinking of building the Ruby instead (runoffgroove.com/ruby.html), an "enhanced" version of the Little Gem. Any ideas how to mount the pots & guitar jack into 1/2" thick wood?

this is the right speaker, it is the main controller, the line in goes from here into the box below, and there is a thick cable that carries the signals for the other speakers back to the sub

this is the top view of said speaker. you can almost kinda see where I coiled up the ~6 foot line in cord and taped it to the back where its out of sight. the thick cord is the one to the sub, the thin one is USB to the sound box underneath the speaker
