It shouldn’t be that hard to form a mental image of a new iPhone said to closely resemble the old one, onlycoated in a darker shade of gray, going lighter on the antenna lines, discarding the traditional headphone jack, and adopting both a Smart Connector and dual rear-facing camera as far as the 5.5-inch model is concerned.
But just as we saw the rumored “deep blue” iPhone 7 flavor depicted in a number of very different ways, the “space black” version making the rounds now could end up looking more or less classically ebony.
Keep in mind the last dark-skinned Apple handheld, the iPhone 5, combined black and slate for an elegant two-tone appearance, although there’s no indication Cupertino is planning something similar this time around.
