Microsoft today expanded the Surface family with the Surface Pro 3. It’s the latest device from the Redmond giant to fuse the best of tablet and laptop into one device. The Surface Pro 3 features a 12-inch display with a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels and is said to be 30 percent thinner than Apple’s 11-inch Macbook Air.
Additionally, the Surface Pro 3 is powered by 4th generation Intel Core processor (i3/i5/i7), up to 8GB RAM, storage capacity ranging from 64GB to 512GB, Dolby audio, USB 3.0 mini DisplayPort, microSD card slot, integrated kickstand and Windows 8.1.
The Surface Pro 3 will also be complemented with a Surface Pro Type Cover, Surface Pen, Docking Station and Ethernet adapter.
The Surface Pro 3 will start from $799 depending on the configuration and will be up for pre-order from tomorrow. The release date is expected to be around June 20 in Canada and United States and will arrive in 26 new markets by end of August.
