Why is my new HP desktop tower making a rattling noise?
I bought a new HP desktop pc about a month ago and whenever I run it with the cover on it makes a wining sound. When i remove the cover and run it the sound stops. I’m almost certain it’s something vibrating rapidly but I can figure out what it is. There is nothing resting on the cover that would vibrate and make the sound. Any help would be great.

Probably your cooling fan. Check your CPU heatsink fan as well as any other chassis fans.
