One day after Android 7.0 Nougat began rolling out to the masses, a report claims to have info on when Google’s next big launch will take place.

Google will roll out their Daydream virtual reality service “in the coming weeks,” say sources speaking to Bloomberg. Google are reportedly working with Hulu and YouTube stars like Justine Ezarik to create projects to promote Daydream, including 360-degree videos. Google are also said to be teaming with video game producers and sports leagues on VR content.

Google are reportedly spending big on these VR projects, dropping up to hundreds of thousands of dollars apiece on VR films and programs.

Daydream was announced back at Google I/O in May as a high-quality VR platform that’s integrated with Android. In order for a smartphone to be certified for Daydream, it’ll need to meet Google’s spec list. There’s no word on what this spec list includes, but Google have said that Samsung, HTC, LG, Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, ASUS, and Alcatel are all prepping Daydream-ready phones.

You’ll also need a headset and controller for Daydream. Google have made a reference design for these devices, which you can see above. Google have confirmed that they’re prepping their own VR headset, but it’s unclear when that device might launch.
